The extent of Reform leader Richard “Dubai Dicky” Tice’s wealth, as revealed by the House of Commons’ Register of Members’ Financial Interests, should offer him some comfort from the party’s civil war.
The MP for Boston and Skegness, who enjoyed a 35-year career in property before entering Parliament, has reported a relatively modest “variable” £10,270 salary from his property firm Quidnet Reit. More significant is that the company owns £31.9m in bricks and mortar, bagged a £1,237,249 profit on £2,370,428 in 2023 and has a net worth of £17.5m. It is just one of 16 commercial ventures in which Tice declares an interest in the parliamentary register.
On his website, Tice boasts of his prowess for “making the right judgment calls, knowing when to buy and sell… making the right decisions.” Like, say, deciding to ditch one of your parliamentary colleagues over claims of bullying and reporting him to the police on the very day he criticised Reform’s leader Nigel Farage?
