As if things couldn’t get worse for Tommy Robinson…

The far right rabble-rouser claims to have been stopped from getting "the only channel he watches" in his prison cell

Heartbreaking news from HMP Woodhill, Buckinghamshire, current home of far right activist, serial criminal and general rabble-rouser Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who is serving time for contempt of court.

Not content with jailing the man known as Tommy Robinson, removing him from society and confining him to his cell, ruthless screws are now denying him every true Englishman’s birthright: the ability to watch GB News.

“Tommy has been able to watch @GBNEWS in his cell @HMP_Woodhill, however, for reasons unknown, he is now unable to watch GB News at all,” writes whoever is behind the TRobinsonNewEra X account while the man himself spends time in the Big House.

“It was on his freeview, and now it’s vanished for some reason? Given the petty and spiteful actions of the prison governorship, have they somehow removed the only channel Tommy watches in prison? Why?

“On it’s [sic] face, it appears there is an agenda to try and break Tommy mentally no matter what, and there seems to be no bounds of pettiness or spitefulness they will not lower themselves to, to make that happen.”

The move has sparked outrage on X, curiously among many people who ordinarily would be calling for TVs to be banned in prisons outright and inmates to be forced to stare at walls. Someone called ‘The Video Watcher’ claims Woodhill’s governor could face “criminal prosecution for torture” for not allowing Yaxley-Lennon to watch Lee Anderson’s Real World, an account called Politiocrit calls for the International Red Cross to be sent in to check on their hero, while Rich Toronto thinks it is grounds for a fresh general election to be called.

But will it be enough? Or is it time for GB News to stage an equivalent of ITV’s Telethon to raise awareness and get their number one fan out of His Majesty’s Pleasure?
