Careful now: anti-woke Linehan and Doyle head for America

More beloved figures in the culture wars are heading to the US of A.

Andrew Doyle, creator of the mirthless woke spoof character Titania McGrath, has presented his final episode of GB News’ Free Speech Nation and is off to noted entertainment hub Arizona with Father Ted creator turned anti-trans activist Graham Linehan to set up a production company and create a new sitcom and chat show.

The pair are joined by Deuce Bigalow star Rob Schneider, who has been widely criticised in the US for his anti-LGBT views and anti-vaccine activism, and Martin Gourlay, who produced John Cleese’s little-remembered “cancel culture” series The Dinosaur Hour for GB News.

The group have been forced to flee these shores to make their sitcom Stateside as, Doyle says, it “sounds histrionic but I don’t think we could have… artistic freedom in the UK”.

Down with this sort of thing!
