Matt Hancock’s curious stateside spending

The sums of money the disgraced former health minister spent suggests he did not go alone - but there is no mention of Gina Coladangelo

An ambitious outfit called Hawksmoor Technology Advisors – set up in 2020 to provide advice for start-up companies in the technology sector – appears to have the hots for the disgraced former health minister Matt Hancock.

He’s just reported an £11,638 trip to the United States that took in New York and Miami over seven happy days in May. Hawksmoor coughed up £6,995 on fights, £544 for accommodation in New York, £3,112 for Miami accommodation, as well as £987 for a conference ticket. The sums of money suggest Hancock didn’t go alone, but there is no mention of his lover Gina Coladangelo.

He also trousered a quick £2,447 for a 30-minute speaking engagement in Austria for the Forum of the Pharmaceutical Industry. No news as yet in the register of his long-rumoured book deal for which an optimistic publisher is rumoured to have given him £100,000.
