Don’t turn your back on democracy on June 8, urged Miller
Speaking at The Convention – a two-day public debate on the deep impacts of Brexit – Brexit campaigner Gina Miller urged voters to use their ‘enormous privilege’ by voting in ‘a smart, tactical way.’
‘As for you, who maybe feel betrayed, or apathy or angry, and may turn your backs on democracy on June 8 – I implore you, please exercise your responsibility.
‘Be the game changers in this peculiar political environment.
Miller, who challenged the government’s right to implement Brexit without approval from parliament and won, recently said she would take the government back to Court if Parliament is denied a final say on any Brexit deal.
Miller launched the BestforBritain.org campaign, a tactical voting initiative supporting candidates who will put principles above politics and demand a meaningful vote on any final deal between the UK Government and the 27 member states.
